Mama’s Chicken and Dumplings

Mama’s Chicken and Dumplings
Ingredients:
1 pound chicken breast or 5 leg quarters
10 chicken bouillon cubes (DO NOT add salt to broth)
4 quarts of water
3 cups of flour
½ tsp salt
1 Tb baking soda
1 cup of water
Directions:
Boil chicken in 4 quarts of water until tender or about 5 mins after chicken water begins to boil. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking soda. Add water until flour turns into medium thick dough. Put dry flour (about a 2 cups) on a large piece of Aluminum foil. Put about 2 large serving spoons of dough in center of flour. Kneed dough until you can roll out dough. Then cut in squares with a pizza cutter, Drop dough into boiling broth. DO NOT stir dumplings! Use spoon to push them down. Cook until done…add black pepper to taste.
